Ran’s family has practiced Chinese calligraphy and ink art for four generations. She started learning from her grandfather and mother at the age of five. Her mother’s calligraphy art won the national prize, and was collected by the National Museum of China. However, Ran was never expected to attain achievement in this field. Therefore, she received technical training from a young age without excessive constraints, resulting in a free yet disciplined style.
After her first exhibition in Grand Palais in 2025. She has been systematically studying western art history, Chinese calligraphy/painting art history, and Chinese traditional philosophy from 2025-2026, striving to ensure that the creation of her works is well-founded.
Calligraphy art is inseparable from a deep understanding of Chinese characters. Ran revealed her exceptional language talent from a young age, reciting ancient poems at 18 months old and craving for books from 3 years old. Throughout her school years, she consistently ranked at the top in Chinese literature. She aspired to pursue French and classical Chinese as her profession in university, but life guided her to finance and economics instead. She continues to find joy in learning languages, created her own self-study methods. To date, she has obtained economics diplomas and licenses in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and French. She is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner, and can fluently provide financial advice in three languages.
Ran also founded Ranadu, an art management system on blockchain. It was admitted by “La French Tech” program.
